Ra (; Ancient Egyptian: rꜥ or rˤ; also transliterated rˤw /ˈɾiːʕuw/; cuneiform: ?? ri-a or ??ri-ia) or Re (; Coptic: ⲣⲏ, Rē) was the ancient Egyptian deity of the sun.
