Acanthosisnoun

(medicine) A benign abnormal thickening of the stratum spinosum, or prickle cell, layer of the epidermis.

Parakeratosis

Parakeratosis is a mode of keratinization characterized by the retention of nuclei in the stratum corneum. In mucous membranes, parakeratosis is normal.

Acanthosisnoun

an abnormal but benign thickening of the prickle-cell layer of the skin (as in psoriasis)
